One Child

At A Time’

Vision of Love (also known as VOL) is an independent registered non profit humanitarian community service project initiated by Royalty Baptist Church based in Regorogile township, Thabazimbi, South Africa. Vision of Love exists to enhance the life of every citizen through the gift of Love by delivering humanitarian services; resulting in a better quality of life which every human being deserves. The Love of God compels us to Love and Care for our neighbours.

Vision of Love is delivering humanitarian services to the residents of Thabazimbi area . Our services include Soup Kitchen (feeding more than 250 kids weekly), Senior Citizens Care, and HIV/AIDS Home Based Care and Counseling. Vision of Love doesn’t have premises; as a result we’ve been operating at the church premises (Royalty Baptist Church) since 2014.

Vision of Love receives support from the local farmers (i.e. donations of vegetables and fruits), local stores (i.e. donations of expiry products) and individuals from the church and community (i.e. donations of non perishables and clothes). Our target is vulnerable children, child-headed households, low-income families, community members in need of emergency help to put food on the table.  Eighty percent (80%) of those served by these programs are children.  Our services are aimed at improving the ability of families to care for children and achieve goals of self-sufficiency.

What We Do…

Our Mandate...

Many kids make their way through life uneducated, impoverished, neglected and vulnerable. For them, life is a daily struggle to survive. Whether they live in urban centers or rural outposts, they risk missing out on their childhood, excluded from essential services such as schools, lacking the protection of family and community, often at risk of exploitation and abuse. More than 50 million young people in developing countries do not attend school and are needlessly destined for a life of illiteracy. For them, childhood as a time to grow, learn, play and feel safe is, in effect, meaningless.

Vision of Love believes that there is no reason why any of these terrible statistics should not and cannot be changed if we all work together. The decision is up to us. Together, we can change the numbers ‘One Child at a Time’! Vision of Love has initiated Soup Kitchen project for the primary purpose of feeding hungry and needy children living in and around informal settlements in Thabazimbi. The project is known as VOL Soup Kitchen. The main objective of this project is to make sure that ‘no child deserves to go to bed hungry’ and One-Child-At-Time, we’re making a difference.

One Child at a time...

Our primary  aims is to extend the current feeding-scheme project to operate daily and to organize annual children’s Christmas party in December, whereby children...
